Tropical Steel Vibes is an Atlanta-based group comprised of musicians from various parts of the Caribbean performing reggae, calypso and other Island-flavored music featuring the steel drum.
They play soft background music during the dinner set, then you know it is party time when
Fabien pulls out those limbo sticks and issues the challenge: "Limbo! Limbo like me!"
Leaping and twirling in a stunning dance, he goes out into the crowd summoning one and all: "How low can you go?"
And as the dancers join Fabien onstage for the Limbo Contest, the crowd goes wild.
Tropical Steel Vibes has performed at resort hotels and festivals in Myrtle Beach, Hilton Head, Jekyll Island, Miami, and Birmingham, Alabama. They opened for Jimmy Buffett at the Lakewood Amphitheater during his national tour stop in Atlanta, and the band was a crowd favorite at the Atlanta Music Festival during Labor Day.
